Botox Treatments in San Jose – Your Questions Asked

November 29, 2018 by Josh Leave a Comment

Last month I did something that I had been thinking about for a very long time, and decided to take advantage of one of the Botox treatments in San Jose. I have seen promotions here for a long time yet I was never sure if Botox was for me. I decided to take the plunge however and I have been very happy with the results! Of you have been considering Botox but you are still on the fence, I wanted to share my experience in the hope that it may help you to decide whether or not this is for you.

Does it Hurt?

When the Botox is administered it can hurt ever so slightly, in reality it is the needle which hurts as opposed to the Botox entering your skin. The injections take less than a second however so any pain will subside very quickly indeed. As soon as the injections are out of your skin, the area no longer hurts.

Instant?

I had thought that the effects of the Botox would be instant but they are not, in fact you won’t see the effects until around a week later. I like many thought that I had been burned when I walk ed out of the clinic to still see wrinkles, but this is just because the Botox hasn’t got to work just yet.

How Long Does It Last?

Assuming that you have a good skin care routine and that you don’t do anything to harm your skin, the effects of Botox can last for up to 6months before it is depleted. I cannot draw on my own experience here but friends of mine have said that their’s lasted for at least 4 months before they started to see lines and wrinkles reappearing.

How Often?

Once the Botox has worn off you can certainly go for more, the only downside with this is that the more Botox that you have, the more your body will get used to it and the less impact it will make. With this in mind it probably isn’t worth getting Botox every 7 months, but rather once a year or perhaps just when you know that you have an event on the horizon.

Where Does It Go?

When the Botox begins to wear off it has silly been absorbed by the skin and the flesh underneath it. The contents of Botox already appear naturally in the skin so you are not having a foreign agent injected. This means that after time the solution will simply begin to absorb into the skin, where it is treated the same as any other waste product.

Recommended?

I would certainly recommend having Botox injections if you have any areas of your face with mild lines and wrinkles which you would like to get rid of. The difference looks great and most importantly can help you to feel great and have that little bit of an extra spring in your step.
